「Shi Chu Kyu Katsu」Seeking a way of survival whilst very close to death.

Even under the situation of despair like there is no other way but to wait for a death, he never gives up and searches for the way to survive, and takes a risk as if bringing himself into the burning fire….

It must be not only me, who had encouraged by his braveness, has been aroused one’s spirit from distressed heart, had given courage to overcome one’s difficulties.

It made me want to know the origin of his unusual mental strength of this young man.

Hanyu Yuzuru - “Like tying a bowstring of Japanese archery, live your life dignified”, his father who was a math teacher and used to be a vice headmaster of junior high school wished and named him.

Now his is an absolute king of man’s figure skating, but it is said that he had asthma and easily out of breath, ate little and got nervous in his childhood.

His mother supported him very devotedly, learned nutrition management and made his meals, also she studied by herself “self-control method”.

Figure skating is expensive sports to do, so his mother had a few part time jobs to supple the cost, and also she used to hand made his figure skating costume till a few years ago.

On the other hand, it is said that his father kept watching over him quiet and patiently.

Even every time he had severe injury which he had no choice but to miss the competitions, he kept performing so impressively.

Truly intense performance as if he is already prepared for his death.

I always overwhelmed by his mental strength, but I think that the source is based on the way parents brought him up, and also on the experience once himself was a victim of the big earthquake happened 11th March 2011.

I think, beyond win or lose, some kind of sense of mission of his thought for disaster area by the earthquake make him keep going on.

The origin of my business is hemp.

Unexpectedly the bowstring of Japanese archery is made of hemp, and I feel somehow a mysterious karma.

My shoulder shrank, stretching it straight is difficult now, but I would be happy if you could see my respect and appreciation for this young gold medalist, from my widely stretched left arm.
