In the previous year, 2013, January 29.

My son Masato has passed away.

He died suddenly at Ninohe Hotel of Iwate-ken while we're on business trip together.

By losing my son who was supposed to be my successor, I lost my will of making a card.

Then I saw the news of raising nursery tree of miracle pine of Rikuzentakata, for leaving this miracle pine to next generations.

When I saw this news, my brain has connected my son and my grandson.

Even though Masato has passed away, my grandson Masatoki is still alive.

In that moment, I decided to make this card and leave forever.

However, this nursery tree was under government supervisory and nobody could see it.

I tried different approaches but none worked.

However, I didn't give up.

In the end, I managed take photo of the nursery tree.

This, I can say a miracle.

When we made this card, I told all my employees.

“Never give up on anything.

You can make miracles.”

This year's slogan became “Miracle maker Yamanaka-shokai”
