Previous year was a year of Sochi Winter Olympics.

Japanese figure skater Mao Asada challenged to gold medal as a revenge of previous Olympic Games. However, she made big mistakes at short program (out of pressure I guess) and getting a medal became impossible.

I guess damage of this failure was enormous for her.

I believe after a long and dark night, she became defiant.

Don't care about medal anymore.

I'll show the world what I can do!

As a result, she showed a magnificent performance, even better than gold medalist, and impressed the whole world.

It was a moment that I etched the remark of my master Kondo, former lieutenant general of Imperial army of Japan, to my heart.
